Here's a pic with my baby boy playing in the box with Darth Vader.
I think I'm in love with my MAC.
I just took that picture with my iSight webcamera and uploaded it to Blogger in two seconds. I wish life could be so easy.
Summer's almost over and I'm looking forward to wearing warm clothes. I'm not the thinnest person in the world, so shorts do not become me.
I'd rather wear jeans and a sweater.
However, I do plan on losing some weight.
I'm commuting to Philly now for my job and am taking the Septa train. There's a bit of walking involved and I'm pooped by the end of the day. The train pulls right into Market East station and I walk through the Gallery Mall (makes me think of The Fresh Prince song "Parents Just Don't Understand") and into the Melllon Independence Center. I can walk the steps upstairs, but at that point I've almost passed out and I have to take the escalator.
I hope I like commuting. It's a little cramped and I think I'm going to have a hard time knitting. I brought it the first time I commuted, but I was so flippin' tired from getting up so early, that all I could do was stare into space. I had a commuting buddy and he let me know ahead of time that he usually falls asleep by the time we hit Wilmington and then wakes up when it's time for his stop. That's fine with me because I'm in no mood to be Chatty Kathy that early in the morning.
I'll also have to remember to pack light. Carrying a heavy bag on my shoulder is no good.
Another way to lose weight is to dance. And this weekend I bought Dance Dance Revolution, Hot Party bla bla bla for the Wii, to start the weight loss. I think I did 5 songs and my legs are killing me today.
I am so out of shape. It's really pathetic. I also had to buy some more pants, in a larger size. I never, ever like doing this, but unfortunately all my pants are too tight. After having Luke my tummy isn't the way it used to be. Pants fit me differently and I have a feeling that my tummy won't be back to it's normal six pack of abs. Well, it will still be a six pack, of beer, but not abs. I don't think I ever had that.
Let's see, what else is up in the hood?
We were allowed to become August members of a pool this summer. Baby Boy had a great time there. There's one part of the big pool that's 2 to 3 feet deep and he goes back and forth like a big kid. He only hops in the baby pool when it's adult swim, which lasts about 15 minutes.
Tonight is the last night that the pool is opened and it's "Family Fun Night". DJ, BBQ, games...but hubby has a fever. He came upstairs to bed last night around 1am and was shaking uncontrollably. He put on a sweatshirt and wrapped up in a fleece blanket. He still has a fever this morning. Not sure what's up with that. He's achey all over. It will achey breaky my heart if we can't go tonight. Hopefully his fever breaks. He just poked his head outside and said, "I feel weird".
That sounds promising.
What else...
Baby boy is going to new school in two weeks. It's a Catholic Church nursery school from 9-12, five days a week. He went to summer camp this summer and he was there all day. We'll see how he does. He may need more than just the 3 hours a day. He is very active an
d wants to be on the go, even if it's doing errands with me.
I am knitting, but having been doing much of that. I've been crocheting, and that's taking up most of my time. I'm working on granny square blanket pattern free from Red Heart. I've bought over $80 worth of yarn for it so far. It's getting a little expensive. My hook size when from a size K to size F. So I may end up needing even more yarn.
I also told someone I'd make them a baby flower blanket. That was a lot of yarn, too.
I think a mosquito just bit me on the butt. One just got the back of my son's neck. What a shame.
I think it's time to head inside.
Here's on last pic of a battle of epic proportions...
I wonder who will win? Jabba or Chewbaca?
